The Schleitheim Confession AD 1527

Since Glendon Fox submitted the article “Revival in Schleitheim”, I thought it would be fitting to place the actual Schleitheim Confession here in total. It is indeed an amazing work. The Reformation, now a little over 10 years since Luther nailed his 95 theses on the Wittenberg door, had quickly become a state church of their own.

Webster’s 1828 Dictionary defines providence as “the care and superintendence which God exercises over His creatures”. This is just what we felt when we met Brother David Janzen in Manitoba, back in the summer of 2004. Somehow, we felt that this meeting held an integral part of our future.


I grew up in a Catholic family in Massachusetts. I had never read the Bible, and had never heard of the doctrine of non-resistance.
The Lord has been laying it upon my heart for some time now to share a few things with each of you. As I look back at the last few weeks, there is no way that I can sit back and not give the Lord praise and glory. The Lord has done so many marvelous works in my life, and especially the last two years, I hope I can adequately express with words just how faithful He has been time and time again to me and my family.
