I believe that the focus of the early Church was a non-compromising dedication to the person and message of Jesus Christ.

The message was the 4th in a 5 week series on Anabaptist history. In this message a brief introduction to the church councils are given. During this section it is suggested that the church lost their focus. After the councils a brief introduction to the Pilgrim Church is given. The Waldensians and the Albigensians are looked at in slightly greater detail as well as Peter Chelcicky and the Czech Brethren.

This is day 5 of a 5 week series on Anabaptist history. In this message a few more pre-reformation groups are briefly looked at which include the Beguines and Beghards and the Brethren of the Common Life. Following this a closer look at Erasmus and his influence on the Reformation. Martin Luther's conversion and later writings are also reviewed. Finally the early Radical Reformation is briefly reviewed including Thomas Müntzer, Andreas Karlstadt and the German Peasants' War.
